Discover Unknown. Experience More. Make a Difference.
Trekkamp is more than an adventure tourism organisation. It is a community of explorers, nature lovers, heritage enthusiasts, and people who believe that the best lessons in life are often found beyond the classroom and outside our comfort zones.
Based in Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra, Trekkamp was founded by Vishal Vishwanath Lahoti with a vision to connect people with nature, adventure, culture, and the world around them. What began as a passion for exploring the mountains has grown into a platform that brings people together through trekking, camping, heritage exploration, outdoor learning, environmental conservation, and community initiatives.
Our motto, βDiscover Unknown,β reflects our belief that every journey offers something new to discover β a hidden trail, a forgotten story, a new friendship, a different perspective, or a stronger version of ourselves.
From the beautiful Sahyadri mountain ranges of Maharashtra to the majestic Himalayas, we create experiences that go beyond sightseeing. We encourage people to explore responsibly, learn from their surroundings, respect local traditions, and develop a deeper connection with nature.
Beyond Adventure
At Trekkamp, we believe that adventure is not just about reaching a summit. It is about the lessons we learn along the way, the challenges we overcome, the people we meet, and the memories we create together.
Our journeys bring together people from different backgrounds and age groups, creating a welcoming community united by a love for exploration. Whether it is a sunrise trek in the Sahyadris, a night under the stars, a walk through an ancient fort, or a conservation activity in a local village, every experience has the potential to inspire change.
We aim to make outdoor experiences meaningful, safe, educational, and accessible to people who wish to explore the world beyond their everyday routines.
Crafting Meaningful Experiences
1. Trekking and Adventure Tourism
The mountains are at the heart of Trekkamp. We organise trekking experiences across the Sahyadri ranges and the Himalayas, taking explorers through mountain trails, historic forts, forest paths, valleys, and scenic landscapes.
Our activities include mountain trekking, camping, monsoon adventures, jungle treks, rappelling, and other outdoor experiences suited to different groups and skill levels.
Every journey is planned with attention to safety, responsible travel, and respect for the natural environment. Our goal is not simply to take people to a destination, but to help them experience the journey with awareness, confidence, and curiosity.
2. Nature Conservation and Responsible Tourism
Nature gives us far more than beautiful views. It supports life, sustains communities, and teaches us the importance of balance.
Trekkamp promotes responsible tourism through environmental awareness, plogging drives, waste-management activities, and conservation-focused experiences. Our initiatives encourage participants to keep trails clean, reduce waste, respect wildlife, avoid disturbing natural habitats, and understand the impact of their actions on the environment.
We also support conservation awareness through experiences such as firefly conservation activities and the Velas Turtle Festival, where participants learn about wildlife protection and the importance of respecting natural cycles. We believe that exploring nature also brings a responsibility to protect it.
3. Experiential Learning for Students
Learning becomes more powerful when children can see, experience, question, and understand things for themselves.
Through school trips, educational tours, outdoor activities, and specially designed learning programmes, Trekkamp provides opportunities for students to explore the world beyond their textbooks. Our experiences can introduce students to history, agriculture, local industries, public services, financial awareness, environmental responsibility, teamwork, problem-solving, and personal development.
We aim to create learning experiences that build curiosity, confidence, leadership, observation skills, and a sense of responsibility towards society. For us, a successful educational journey is one where students return with not only memories, but also new questions, useful knowledge, and a broader understanding of the world.
4. Community Development and Social Initiatives
Trekkamp believes that meaningful travel should create positive connections with the communities that welcome us.
We encourage local participation, promote regional culture, support local enterprises, and create opportunities for people to come together for social causes.
Our community initiatives reflect the belief that adventure can be a platform for inclusion, awareness, empowerment, and positive social change. We want our journeys to leave behind more than photographs β we want them to create meaningful connections and contribute positively to the places we visit.
Heritage & Cultural Exploration
Every fort, cave, temple, and historic settlement has a story to tell. Through our heritage experiences, we help people discover the history, architecture, culture, and traditions that shape our region.
From ancient caves and historic forts to spiritual trails and local traditions, we encourage participants to look beyond monuments and understand the people, events, and knowledge connected with them. Our heritage activities aim to build respect for our shared cultural legacy and inspire younger generations to preserve it for the future.
Trekkamp Dharohar β Connecting Generations with Heritage
Trekkamp Dharohar is our heritage education initiative, created to help the younger generation connect with history and culture through real-world experiences.
We believe that history becomes more meaningful when students walk through ancient places, observe their surroundings, listen to local stories, and understand the importance of protecting our heritage.
Through guided heritage visits, educational tours, and experiential learning activities, Dharohar encourages students to become curious learners and responsible guardians of our cultural legacy.
Initiatives That Reflect Our Values
Over the years, Trekkamp has developed initiatives that bring together adventure, conservation, heritage, and social responsibility. Along with our heritage education, conservation, and experiential learning programmes, these initiatives express the wider purpose of Trekkamp: using exploration as a force for learning, connection, and change.

Learning Through Experience
Encourage curiosity, practical learning, leadership, and personal growth.
Community and Inclusion
Build a welcoming space where people can connect, participate, and grow together.
Social Responsibility
Use our activities and platforms to support conservation, local enterprises, and meaningful social causes.
Authentic Experiences
Focus on genuine connections with places, people, and cultures rather than simply visiting destinations.
The Trekkamp Family
What makes Trekkamp special is not only the places we explore, but also the people who make every journey possible.
Our trek leaders, coordinators, volunteers, participants, local partners, and supporters form a community built on shared experiences and a love for the outdoors. Every person brings a different story, skill, and perspective. Together, we learn to face challenges, support one another, appreciate differences, and celebrate the simple joy of being outdoors.
From first-time trekkers taking their first steps on a mountain trail to experienced explorers returning to their favourite landscapes, everyone has a place in the Trekkamp family.
We believe that the memories created on a trail often continue long after the journey ends.
